Haystack Rock, in Cannon Beach, Oregon, is best known for its appearance in the cult classic film, The Goonies. Cannon Beach is a popular spot to head to for a break, only 2 hours from Portland, where Elliott lived and performed with his band, Heatmiser, through the early 1990s. -- JJ Gonson
