Robert Palmer, NYC, 1978
ABOUT THIS PIECE
When I'm assigned to photograph an artist in the context of an interview, I like to shoot after the interview. Yes, it means spendingmore time at the shoot, but I liked to listen to what was being said so that the photo would be able to fit into the story. During his interview, Robert said he loves to come to New York City and stay at a hotel that overlooks skyscrapers, so I unscrewed the frame from two windows and did the shot. -- Richard E. Aaron
