You're the only photographer I know who can keep up with Bruce. said the road manager of Springsteen in a long-distance phone call with Jim Marchese during which he invites the photographer to join the Born To Run artist on the European leg of his River Tour. Just twenty-four hours after accepting, an eager yet jet-lagged Marchese found himself behind the collaborative lens of music history in the making. Some four decades later, that iconic spring tour is revisited with the recent release of Bruce Springsteen's first official live concert download/CD, 'Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band: Wembley Arena, June 5, 1981' aptly showcasing this particular photograph on both its cover and the homepage of Bruce Springsteen's official website.
