An award winning photographer, Michael Brennan’s photos have appeared in publications as diverse as LIFE magazine to The Daily Mail of London. Awarded British News Photographer if the Year in 1967 for photographs of Donald Campbell crashing in ‘Bluebird’ while attempting to break the World Water Speed Record.

1967-1971: Covered the conflict in Northern Ireland. Awarded Photographer of the Year (Britain’s highest honor for photojournalism in the UK) for photographs from news events worldwide. Presented by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne.

1970: Staff photographer for The Daily Mail, London.

1970: One of the first westerners to photograph and spend time with Mother Theresa

1971: Covered the Indo / Pakistani war.

1972: Covered the civil unrest in Uganda.

1973: Moved from London to New York City to work as a freelance photographer.

1973-2007: Working from New York covered news events, major political stories, The Falklands War from Argentina, acquainted with many celebrity, rock luminaries such as John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Led Zeppelin and sports men and women, particularly Muhammad Ali, “The Greatest”

2007-2013: Relocated from New York to Costa Rica, during which time honored with the recognition of a portrait of Muhammad Ali being shown at The National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC.
