Lynn’s multi award–winning photography has appeared on and between the covers of Life, Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Interview, People, Sports Illustrated and many other prestigious publication across the globe. Fifteen coffee table photo books of her work have been published by  Taschen, Rizzoli, and Abrams.  Over the past 6 decades her images have graced hundreds of groundbreaking album covers including Patti Smith’s Easter and Frank Zappa’s Sheik Yerbouti. In addition to her photography, Her history in the area of popular music is not only in photographs. Lynn's written songs with artists such as Sting, Steve Winwood, and Todd Rundgren.

She’s also directed.  In 1969, for Electra Records she made some of the first films to be used to promote artists  and by the early 70’s she was a director for Joshua Television, then for the first network TV rock show  ABC’s In Concert.  Lynn was the youngest member ever to be inducted into the Director’s Guild of America. She has won numerous awards for her videos as the optic music artist Will Powers. As a fine art photographer, Lynn Goldsmith's oeuvre, shown in museums and galleries worldwide, has received prestigious accolades including but not limited to: the Lucie Award for Lifetime  Achievement in Portraiture, The World Press Award in Portraiture, the Lifetime Achievement Award from PPA  (Professional Photographers of America)  and the Lucien Clergue Award.

Lynn considers all of her work to be about identity and how one can reach their potential through commitment, hard work, and some luck. She considers the greatest achievement in her career of almost 6 decades might be standing up for her rights and the rights of all artists in the legal battle with the Warhol Foundation all the way to The Supreme Court and winning a decision that will help protect all artists rights to their work.
