Collection: Justin Borucki

Justin Borucki began his career shooting local New York Hardcore and punk rock bands in the early 90s after discovering photography while fulfilling a high school art requirement. Since then, he has worked as both a music and celebrity portrait photographer and photo editor, going fully freelance in 2003. Justin began a new chapter in his journey nearly a decade ago when he returned to his darkroom and street photography roots through wet plate collodion photography, an entirely handmade process with origins dating back to the 1850s.

In addition to Justin's fine art street photography project, he offers handmade portraits—art for the people—with his pop-up tintype portrait studio and custom-built portable darkroom rig on Prince Street in Soho. He also offers private sessions and workshops on location and in his home studio. Justin lives with his wife, five children, and rescued farm animals on their eight-acre homestead bordering the northern edge of the New Jersey Pine Barrens.
